Mini Ninjas tells the story of Hiro, the littlest and least experienced ninja of the students under his master's tutelage. When he discovers that an evil samurai warlord has been trapping his fellow ninja students and turning the forest animals into samurai minions, he sets off to rescue his friends and stop the enemy in his tracks.
Mini Ninjas follows a fairly linear story, with Hiro rescuing a fellow ninja every few levels. Soon after each rescue he comes to a highly fortified castle, which he must infiltrate to find and fight the boss. There are four boss figures to defeat before Hiro is ready to confront the samurai warlord. In addition to combat, there are a number of items to seek out and collect, including plants that can be made into potions, coins for purchasing new potions, statues that are simply there to find, and hidden shrines where new spells can be learned. There are also a few levels where players guide Hiro through a series of obstacles while he rides his hat.

This game always reminded me of I-Ninja a platformer game that came out back in the PS2/OG Xbox days kinda wish that game got a remaster.
