I was excited for this, but for some reason its looking dated to me. Poor animations REALLY stand out to me recently. We'll see what the final product is like.

come on its not always about the gfx.. animations look okay... this game is made for pure fun... dr 1 on the 360 had maybe 300 to 500 zombies on screen at a time... it was crazy... and you could kill them with teddy bears... hell you could even grab a zombies gut, reach in and pull out its intestines with your bear hands too

is it me or does this look like it's for the Wii graphically speaking oh well i'm buying this no matter what but i wish capcom could release Dead Rising 1 on PS3 before Dead Rising 2 comes out i want to know what happened and i want to kill zombies in a shopping mall

I was thinking the exact same thing. Graphics are meh, animations are horrible. I think this game is coming out too late. I may be wrong, but the world seems to have grown out of the Dead Rising franchise. It looks meh to me, and I'm really sick of zombies.

I actually agree with you somewhat. I watched a trailer on XBL and seen some pics in the past and there is no denying this game looks average not only that but has been downgraded compared to the first one. PS3's hardware must not be able to handle all the objects, physics, animations, and high quality graphics all at once. No joke.

DR1 is a horrible game compared to what's currently available. Although the control scheme is better than the RE series, the character models are laughable, the save points are mindnumbingly out of place (you sleep on a couch...in a mall...with zombies abound), and missions border on sheer stupidity (you're a war photographer who suddenly forgot how to take pics so you have to take pointers from some scrawny geek). But thank god for Grady, the mall janitor, or you wouldn't stand a chance. Seriously, I paid $12 used for the game and it was $10 too much. It's fun killing zombies at first but it gets so repetitive so fast. To this day, it remains the most disappointing game I've played on the 360.

Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.

Seems like there was just a ton of infighting aswell and so many more issues. Honestly sadly Dead Rising 5 before it was cancelled sounded nothing like dead rising, nothing learnt from. Dr4 at all.

They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.

This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.

Well Xbox were the console that bought us the amazing fist one . So I’d happily buy it and any console agin if they make it as good as the first . Anything like 4 or a so many player free to play crap and I’m out .

Really miss this series . I bought a Xbox 360 only for dead rising . It was my dawn of the dead dream played out . 2 was quite good , as was 3. But 4 was just a disaster !. It could of been so good . I say reboot it again , cause I do miss the series .

It was never particularly good. People just remember the first one so fondly because the 360 was new at the time and there were so few games for it then.

Dead Rising 1, 2 and Off the record was very good. Even 3 was decent. 4 I also enjoyed but it was changed up a bit to much. Plus I hated they got rid of the drop in drop out co op. That's what made Dead Rising 2 so fun as well as Dead Rising 3.

Everyone complains when developers just make cookie cutter sequels so Capcom shook things up with Dead Rising 4. Fans shit the bed when it wasn't a cookie cutter sequel and it didn't sell well. I personally loved the game and its open sandbox nature. I saw it as different and fell in love with what made it special. I've been a fan since day one and have always loved each game for what it was, but this is definitely a case where the fanbase was indeed toxic... Anyway fast forward to the present and Capcom isn't sure if the franchise has a future anymore.

Same thing to every xbox 3rd party game this generation they don't matter they choose the wrong partner with a very low count of user base instead of choosing Playstation. Plus those fanbase who are looking for silly kiddy gameplay jump into the more fun better and free to play games like fornite etc games.
