Don't joke around Reggie I'm to vulnerable. I want something different from Nintendo core game wise and I hope this title when made can deliver.

I bought a Wii because it was slated to be a gaming platform. I got two games for it, Mario Galaxy and Zelda, that was it. I got fed up and traded it in for a DSi which you actually make games for, rather than just cheap gimmicks to hook soccer moms.

Ivelost trust in you Nintendo, the company who's games I grew up with, and you need to prove your going to make AAA games for gamers, and maybe Ill buy your next gimmick, I mean toy, you know game system?

Well, Reggie has had his cage rattled by something this week as he's everywhere!

This year has seen poor sales for mature third party games on the Wii yet as soon as the PS3 dropped in price we saw there are people who want more mature games still waiting to enter this gen-there's still a gaming audience not committed to the Wii.

Also many of those rushing to get a slim may be Wii owners(we don't know this but maybe Ninty have done some research which leads them to think it)underwhelmed by the results of what looked like being a better line up for non casual gamers this year. If this is the case then talk of KI is no shock-the first was a granite hard game-and TGS should also see Zelda announced properly and with SMG2 on the horizon there are already signs Ninty want to be the ones who're there to cter for the moment that many of their newer gamers have their tastes mature a little.

I'd like to see KI, am waiting for S&P2 and though the sales of the likes of Sega's three mature titles have been poor the fact new gamers won't have known about Madworld and co leaves the lack of Demos on Wii and Ninty's lack of support towards3rd parties as the big ossies here. If Ninty wants to keep gamers that began on the #Wii when their tastes broaden they will HAVE to make more mature games AND allow third party devs more of a chance with more trailers and demo suppor ton Wii and shopping channel.

Eventually many, if not most, of those new to gaming with the Wii will want to play new, to them, kinds of games and, imo, Nintendo realises this but hadn't yet got a handle on how to either help it or control it so the gamers don't end up giving up/going elsewhere.

I just don't believe that gamers, however casual when they start(we all were surely, at some point), won't want to spread their wings at some point if they don't just tire of gaming in general. Eventually they'll want more than another Wii Sports and I think Reggie talking to anyone who'll listen about this kind of thing(core games, COD and KI "type" games)means Nintendo will try to accommodate both more experienced gamers and those wishing to get more involved fro a casual start from now on in. Could be ver good news if Ninty get it right AND manage to understand the needs of other devs a little better.

I could be talking cack, mind, as could Reggie. I just don't believe anyone would be content playing casual games forever and to me it's natural that people will move on either to more involving games or just give up the hobby if they don't find anything they like better.

@dantheman1515: So you only bought Mario and Zelda and you're saying you're complaining about lack of Wii software? You've nobody to blame but yourself if the only games you buy are Mario and Zelda. What were you expecting, 15 iterations of a 3-D platforming Mario game, and 13 Zelda sequels? Not all of the fantastic Wii games may appeal to everyone, but if you say that there's nothing on the console that appeals to you other than Zelda and Mario, I'm feeling fairly convinced you just don't like video games.

Also, congrats on wasting your money on a DSi. That 'i' cost an extra $60-or-so bucks, y'know.

hasnt "does" in a looong F'n time. I been waiting for a Kid Icarus sequel since I was like 10 11 12 year old, I'm 33 now. Hell, the closest I got to a Kid Icarus follow up was Kid Niki(Which is nothing like Kid Icarus) XD

"Can Nintendo compete with Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Gran Turismo 5"

Wtf is Halo ODST other than top of the flops? This THREAD IS ULTRA FAIL.

EvilTwin5338d ago

I agree with slave2Dcontroller.

If Kid Icarus is what Nintendo "does," then where is the game? We haven't seen one in ages.

Hopefully this is what Retro is working on (sorry, StarFox fans...but I think Retro could so something AMAZING with KI).

6 Classic Games That Deserve Remakes

BY FRANKLIN: When putting together a list of the best remakes and remasters for modern consoles, I started thinking about many of the classic games that also deserve remakes. Some more popular games been re-released on digital platforms or ported with no updates to the original game, but a direct port is not as satiating as a remake. These games deserve to be remade from the ground up, or at the very least have a graphical refresh.

These are 6 classic game remakes that we want to see in 2023.

gold_drake351d ago

sone of the games definitely deserve a remake. you dont have to buy them if you prefer the original tho.

amazinglover351d ago

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic already has a remake coming, though it has had a rough development moving from Aspyr Media to a Saber Interactive studio it is still set to come to PS5 and PC.

FinalFantasyFanatic351d ago

I will gladly take remasters and ports of older games, would love a remake of Link to the Past in the same style as Link's Awakening, I'd also love a remake of Super Mario RPG.
