Originally developed for the iPhone and other mobile devices, Gameloft's Castle of Magic has just been announced to be headed for Nintendo's DSi -- through the digital download distribution of DSiWare. Gameloft has previously published a few other DSiWare titles, including Guitar Rock Tour, Real Soccer 2009 and American Popstar: Road to Celebrity. None of those prior efforts have been quite as ambitious as this one, though.

Castle of Magic is a brief and fairly generic platformer, but what's there is charming and entertaining enough to recommend for fans of the genre, or pretty much anyone that's just sick to death of the puzzle game deluge. The camera-based novelty to obtain power-ups was a really silly idea, though.

Same here. That and La Mulana are the only Wiiware games that I'm really looking forward to.
