PlayTM: Gran Turismo Review

Play.tm writes:

"Announced at E3 way back in May 2004, we feel like we need to rub our eyes in dismay as Gran Turismo finally rolls off the production line, making its way onto the PSP after more than five years stuck in the pits. The delay has been so protracted that we were beginning to lose interest until it resurfaced at this year's E3 and GamesCom in playable form, where we finally got to see what Polyphony had been up to for the last half-decade."

it looks like this is gonna be one everyone is goin to have to checkout for themselves

............get it? check......out

All the reviews say the same thing though, if you ignore the scores. No one is saying anything different.

GTmobil is a disappointment for anyone thinking it was going to be GT4 on a psp with buying/upgrades/career mode. But a simple search into gtpsp would have listed that prior to reviews.

I'm checking it out myself. I kinda expected mixed reviews either way because it's a on-the-go game.

like i said here, http://www.n4g.com/up/Actio...
this game will get too many mixed reviews, so you are better off checking it out on your own.

Still, 80/100 is a great score... (Incase people over-react, I'm NOT being sarcastic).

I don't know about that. If you worked for 4 or 5 years on a game and put in hundreds of cars and pushed the hardware to its limits, only to get an 80 out of 100? And remember that Polyphony Digital are perfectionists. 80 out of 100 is a slap in the face for people like them.

Greywulf5366d ago

Since they didn't spend 4-5 years to max out the psp with a game that they said wouldn't have:

1. A career mode.

at the start.

And getting called

"It's easily the most realistic handling we've seen in a PSP driving game, and all this is done at a silky smooth 60 frames per second which, on the little screen, looks lush. That's why screenshots and trailers had us all excited. "

So a PSP game, looks great, and has realistic physics.

Im sure PD is going to lose sleep over reviewers pointing out the game has no career mode.
