"Now, it is fair to say that Bayonetta is extremely similar to Devil May Cry. What is not fair to say, however, is that Bayonetta is the same as Devil May Cry. The base gameplay revolves around simply chopping enemies with various blunt weapons and there are plenty of power ups to be found along the way. I guess you could also say that Bayonetta is also a lot like Ninja Gaiden, in that the gameplay has a more tight feel and dodging comes into play a lot as well."
