I was planning on passing on this title originally as I don't game on XBL anymore so it didn't seem worthwhile for only 4 hours worth of single player and a bunch of multiplayer I'll never play.

But I have to admit this trailer helped me remember just how cool the Halo universe is. If the single player is a decent length, I might have a change of heart. Me likey Halo.

This trailer/commercial is fvcking EPIC. I really like it, M$ once again shows that they really know marketing. It looks almost like a marines (in some other language)commercial, then a high budget movie trailer with the great sound effects.

The end with the elite drop being mentioned takes you out of the immersion though, they should have left the trailer sound effects going while the Elites price cut was mentioned.

The reason is because your view on the commercial happens to be in the minority. This is the second time this video has been posted on N4G and the first time the majority loved it. It was excellent in imo. Sure they could have used gameplay, but if you can't find one of the many gameplay videos out now about ODST then there is some thing wrong. People say MS is trying to trick everyone by putting no game play. If you believe games look like this in real life then you are only fooling your self, no one has to do it for you.

Based on a LIVE action thing that has little to do with the game except the title and the suits and the names? Is that the deciding factor in games nowadays what ever happend to story, gameplay and graphics, which the latter two aren't in this trailer. Companies get destroyed for not releasing footage of games at events but this game is due to be released.

I could use the intro of a shakespear book for a trailer of a movie witohut containing any scenes of my movie but that doesn't make it any good.

ALSO this trailer does look awsome, although it has not changed my opinion of the game, looks fun possiple purchase depends on cash and a demo, but if I see it cheaper than £40 it'll be a big consideration.

It's not like they dont have any trailers or other videos without game footage. There are multiple Vidocs, a gamestop commercial, RvB promo vids, there's a ODST truck driving around the US and ODST shows up at about any game event.

Why no gameplay? Because the game is that popular people don't need gameplay to know what they are getting. 10million bought Halo 3. A universe that Halo is in deserves epic commercials like this. The game, sales, and popularity for the last 10 years pretty much proves that. Nothing to argue about or debate.

The scene in KZ2 (intro) where you run out into the battlefield and you see all those bullets flying and blood looks so much more better than this.

The real game obviously looks like s*it.
Even Metroid Prime 3 looks better than this.

Those commercials help expand the universe of Halo from a different perspective. It makes you want to play the game and it lets you enjoy the experience that much more.

BTW - Halo Wars was my first RTS...and dammit...it was pretty freakin good.
