SFX-360: PAX 2009: Tekken 6 Hands On Impressions

SFX-360 writes: "The King of Iron Fist Tournament is back! Tekken 6 was shown in full force at the Namco booth at PAX featuring both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions. There was also a tournament for Tekken 6 pros to show off their superior skills on each day of the show. Some of these tournament players even battles me in between rounds. The funny part is that some of these so called "pros" got their butts handed to them by my awesome Tekken 3 skills. Anyway, enough of me showing off and lets' get to the hands on report of Tekken 6.

First of all, Tekken 6 features one of the largest rosters in the history of the series. A grand total of 32 fighters are available to select from including series regualars like Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima, fan fovorites, and new characters. Each of these characters all have their own unique fighting styles which can provide some very interesting matchups and even some dominating mismatches as some of my opponents found out. There were no storylines to any of the characters in the demo build that was shown on the show floor. Namco just wanted to show off the fighting action in the Arcade Mode, Versus Mode, and the returning Scenario Mode..."

Tekken Bishoujo Ling Xiaoyu Figure Revealed

Following its official release in other territories this autumn, The Ling Xiaoyu Bishoujo Statue is now officially available throughout Europe. An android with detachable limbs, this elite and beautiful fighter came onto the scene first in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion and appears here based on an illustration by renowned Japanese artist Shunya Yamashita, known for his videogame character designs and beautiful illustrations.
