CONCEPT: Mix Tribes and Battlefield in an online shooter with slow movement speeds, impressive jetpacks, and massively inflated health pools.

GRAPHICS: You'd have to really try to come up with a more generic space marine look.

SOUND: The soothing female announcer could be pulled from any sci-fi show or game.

PLAYABILITY: Hooray for customizable controls! Get used to jumping around more than you have since Quake 3.

ENTERTAINMENT: Sure, if you absolutely must have another team-based multiplayer sci-fi shooter, this is certainly that.

REPLAY: Moderate

Why even stop there? Remember Hour of Victory and Vampire Rain? There have been many horribly rated games on the 360 but the 360 fanbase are experts at running far from these games and making sure they're forgotten.

You guys are silly. This game is getting scores mostly in the 7s, which if you understand most review scales represents a decent game. A decent game like this isn't going to appeal to everyone, but there are going to be some people that love it. I am sure all of you have a favorite game or two that scored in the 7s. A console having one more decent game in its lineup is beneficial, no matter how you look at it.

In any case, why are there more PS3 fanboys in this article than there are 360 fanboys, when it is an Xbox 360 article? I challenge any of you to show me a recent PS3 article in which there are more 360 fanboys than PS3 fanboys. I seriously doubt you can do it.

M$ has the mutant ability to hype the most crappiest games. For example, Too Human was garbage. Most of the reviews on it were bad but because 360 fanboys drink M$'s hype-flavored Kool-Aid, they'll argue that it's probably one of the greatest games of all time. If Sony were able to hype games like M$ does, they could move not only twice as much software as usual, but maybe twice as much hardware too. I put down that Kool-Aid a long time ago and saw most of the xclusives for what they are. This won't be this the last time though. I just hope people start seeing through hype and make logical, clear-headed analysis.

Just out of curiosity, how many high end, true exclusives has the 360 had this year? It seems there's a pattern with MS using the Christmas period to flush out 2 or 3 highly anticipated games but have nothing but dry exclusives through the year 'till Christmas.

I would like to know though how many high end exclusives have come out for the 360 this year so far though. ... and please, don't be silly and mention Halo wars or Section 8 or some crazy thing. I said high end exclusive not any-willy-dilly exclusive.

Until this year, Sony was the same way. Just because the PS3 had a good year doesn't warrant making a bunch of inaccurate generalities. Next year looks completely different for the 360, with several megaton games coming out in late winter or spring. Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction are going to be huge. I don't think I have seen any console in recent memory with a lineup like that so early in the year.

Oh please! The difference in exclusives? You mean those two or three games on the PS3 that arguably look marginally better than the better games on the 360? Two or three games? Wooohooo! Let's be real, the majority of exclusives on the PS3 are nothing special in the looks department.

Games like Infamous and Resistance and many other exclusives are either below average or merely on par with games on the 360. I don't know why you guys brag about a couple of games. The 360 literally has hundreds of games in its library that look better than their PS3 counterparts.

What studios does Microsoft have that we would really expect to push graphical boundaries? Rare? Sure, they make nice looking games, but they aren't technical marvels. Lionhead, with its Fable series? Doubt it. RPGs have never really been the genre to push graphical bars anyway. Bungie is perhaps the only one I would have thought possible of making a technological showpiece, but they obviously took Halo 3 in a different direction. Scale, AI and fine-tuned gameplay seem to have been their focus. Let's see what they do with Halo Reach.

But when you get right down to it Microsoft doesn't have the kinds of studios that would tend to build custom engines for the 360, thus we really haven't seen what the 360 is capable of.

You can see the difference in approach between the two companies. There simply are not any studios on the 360 side that are so focused on pushing the hardware as developers like Naughty Dog and Guerrilla are doing with the PS3. I guarantee it is only a matter of time until a developer does make the effort to truly unlock the potential of the 360 with a custom, built-from-the-ground-up game engine and I am sure we haven't seen the best from the 360.

I also hated how you walk like 2 feet an hour, then 2 seconds later you sprint at 100mph. It just felt odd. Then the jumping with the jetpacks, you only get about 3-4 seconds up and it's out of energy. What the heck.

And man the environments sure are bland. At least when it comes to the ground.

I'd say pass this one up folks. Save your money for Halo ODST or something else.

I was watching gameplay on this earlier today. It was boring (I like the trailer though. I wish the game looked like that). It's ridiculous how many shots it takes to kill someone too. The whole respawn from the sky thing is......different. All in all, a rental at best. I could already hear certain N4G Red Ring Cultists spin this game into to being the successor to Halo. Good luck with that.

I had never heard of this game until I saw the demo on XBL last week. Downloaded it and gave it a shot, and to my surprise, I enjoyed it. Thought it was fun and reminiscent of HALO in some ways.

Not the most innovative game I've ever played, but it was fun to me. May pick this one up when it drops in price.
