GameSpot writes: "This October, Relic will launch a brand-new multiplayer mode for Dawn of War II, the Warhammer 40,000-based strategy sequel. While Dawn of War II had excellent multiplayer for real-time strategy fans, Relic feels it has more to offer players who aren't necessarily looking for heavy-duty competition. This is where the new mode, The Last Stand, comes into play."
"This week when I was scrolling through my Steam library for a game to play I was stumped, until I found a mod which brought fresh air to an old classic. The game was the legendary Dawn of War series by Relic. The Dawn of War expansions; Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm along with other stand-alone titles like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, give the universe the justice it rightly deserved."
The Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War franchise is free to play this weekend and to celebrate Relic have added some new content. From September 24 10AM PDT through to September 27 1PM PDT, Dawn of War I and II, plus all expansions, are free to play on Steam.
Having only recently been revealed, THQ has managed to turn around the retail production of the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Ultimate Collection surprisingly quickly. Available from today, the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Ultimate Collection features every previous title and expansion in the critically acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series.
I really want another DOW game that goes back to the style of the first in the series. Great collection by the way.
