As Japanese developers scramble to support the launch of the new PSPGo, Irem has released a slew of new information and screenshots about R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate, slated for release in Japan on October the 29th.
The game, sequel of R-Type Tactics (renamed R-Type Command in the west) and tactical heir of the legendary side-scrolling shooter R-Type, will expand quite extensively on the original R-Type storyline and on the Tactics gameplay...

Atlus picked up R-Type Command from Irem, localized it, and published the PSP title in North America. Nothing has been said about the sequel, R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate, but it appears the game is heading overseas without help from Atlus.
Now if they could just bring the R-type Home space to the West. Build on the flight mini-game and make it similar to the Sodium shooter.
Irem Software has published a new promotion movie for it's new STR on PSP, R-Type Tactics 2 Operation Bitter Chocolate.
The game will be released on october 29 in Japan.
