GamingTalkHQ Is reporting that on the official"The Darkness Myspace page that they have posted a new message.Revealing that a demo is slated to be released before the game hits store shelves. The post notes that the demo will be download only,meaning it wont be on in any OXM. Currently, the demo is scheduled to arrive approximately 3 weeks before the title debuts on June 25th, so it should be on Marketplace in the first week of June
The CEO of Nightdive Studios has said in a tweet that the game is currently on the list for a modern update.
Oh I'm sold already, Nightdive does really solid remasters, and to this day I still love the darkness
Excellent news. The Darkness is one of my all-time favorite games and the sequel is great too. I've just recently had a great time replaying them on my PS3. Unfortunately it's kinda hard to recommend them these days, because they're stuck on PS3 and 360 so a remaster would certainly be appreciated. Nightdive has been killing it lately.

Now I'm hoping they remaster more of starbreeze's games. Namely the chronicles of riddick games

Recently ran through The Darkness 2 on PS3 again.
I hated the switch in style when it first came out but they're both amazing games.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

I've seen the movie of this on marketplace and another one on psn... I was intrested but it doesn't seem like it's gonna be that good. Just a run of the mill fps that seemed it was ported from a 5 year old game on PC. Not being mean or anything but that's what it looked like :(
this game looks like it could be good as long as they nail the whole using the demons thing to your advantage
I wonder about PSN getting the demo also seeing as the game will be on PS3 too. But if not I can just download it on My live account.
