Agreed, 150 hours of gameplay means nothing to me if it's just repetetive missions and will end up getting the same treatment i gave GTAIV, eject disc and haven't touched it since.

so misleading it says 150 hours but what it really means is if you unlock everything there is to unlock. Pretty much any RPG will last that long if you wanna play it long enough to unlock everything. Hey most of them even longer.

you're right. I've logged in 240 hours in Oblivion GOTY edition. And I still haven't done everything. And that's with a lot of fast travel.

Well that's interesting. First time I've entered a thread and agreed with most sentiments.

But right, here's hoping that 150 is used entertainingly.

The longest RPG I've ever played is by far Oblivion and before that Morrowind. Oblivion though got stale until I opted for mods. With Morrowind, I never needed them.

If you can get over the moon language ^_^ than every single Japanese PS3 game can be played on the United States Version. It's nice to share the same region coding so all those games like Idol@Master, Evangelion, Xenogears, Bishoujo Games, and others work perfectly on my PS3 in the States.

Funny thing also is that High-Def porn from Japan is also accessible and work from a United States PS3. Who said that Xbox Live has more content that counts than the PS3 has obviously never looked at the content from Japan / Hong Kong, UK, or even all the sections of the United States PSN.

Well most of that time will probably be spent running from one place to another as Tri-Ace seems to make their maps way too big recently. The maps are mostly empty space as well.

And how much of that time will be consumed by:

- loading screens
- monotonous random battles
- running across massive, bland landscapes (see Spoony's post - he's right)
- navigating complex menus
- some other time consuming JRPG thing that I haven't thought of

Could be a good game, but 150 hours of EXCITING play-time sounds like we're being fed a fabrication/ marketing line. I'll need to see/ read more about this game. So far, the game-play trailer featured a lot of acrobatic shooting and some melodramatic cut-scenes. That could get stale real fast.

Complete lies. The game is going to be on ONE DVD9 for the 360.

The developers confirmed last month it will take 80 hours to do EVERYTHING in the game.

saying it takes about 50-80 hours to complete the story and 150 hours w/ sidequests, etc.

If you read the article you posted, it was "every nook and cranny of the GAME WORLD." Which could mean just exploring the maps themselves. After all, the game is billed as having immense environments, which has nothing to do with total content of the game.

But it sounds to me that these play times, whether 80 or 150, are buoyed by artificial means.

I love that they're taking a different approach to the combat, and from what I've seen, it looks very fun. But I need to physically play it to know if it's as fun as it seems, especially because it's a new take on this genre. As far as the 150 hours go, that's probably with all the side quests and exploration.

I'm hoping there will be a demo, otherwise this will probably be a rent for now.
