Games2C: East India Company Review

The historical setting and the lack of visceral run and gun action may put off many casual gamers. Games2C will have to admit that even for keen armchair generals such as themselves the real–time ship to ship combat is a bit on the slow side – especially chasing fleeing enemy ships for what seems like hours. The AI can be a bit hit and miss too – but these slight infractions can be forgiven when presented with one of the most original PC titles they've played in a very long time. High quality gaming without the need for a blockbuster movie licence or the tenth incarnation of a sports title, a rare treat.

I tried to like East India Company, but I just couldn't get into it, I found the ship battles a pain to play through and the grand strategy wasn't my cup of tea really. Sounds like they may have made some improvements though!
