Publishers should release these awesome rpg's for the PSP on the PS2 too. ;_;

I love Lunar and I wish this would come out in the US, but unless it includes 30% extra content, we won't see a US release due to Sony's porting rule. Does anybody know if the PSP version includes extra content?

Avryx5382d ago

It's being translated by XSeed for the U.S.

And surprisingly enough, their release date is in December. Hope you get it to support Lunar! Really want to see this series stay alive!

Lunar was the first RPG that I ever played and just fell in love with the story, character development etc, & maxed out my characters level to the maximum possible. I played and beat Silver Star and Eternal Blue on the Sega CD. Both games were AWESOME.

This game above all others has solidified my decision to purchase a PSP (version unknown) before the end of February 2010 without question.

One of the best RPGs i ever played is coming to PSP, thats just plain awesome, just need it translated >.>

I have both PS1 remakes, on top of the originals for Sega CDX.

Hopefully they'll release it in the states. If not, I could always import. I know the game very well, so I doubt reading Japanese would hinder me from completing it.

Wow I didn't see this coming, will definitely buy a psp for this game. So far I've been using DS for my rpg fix, but lunar remastered is full of win.

RPGFan's Top 20 PSP RPGs

RPGFan - "Over the years, those of us who love RPGs have spent a lot of time with Sony's consoles. The PlayStation 2, for example, was the undeniable king of home consoles for RPGFans of its time. However, when it comes to handhelds, the PlayStation Portable faced an uphill climb from the day it was released. In Japan, it came on the scene just 10 days after Nintendo's DS, but the gap was three months longer in the US. And although both consoles had great features, the DS went on to outsell the PSP two to one."

Jeanne D'Arc 19? Star ocean 2 20? WTF worst top 20 ever.

Yea the games on the list are good but the order is iffy in some parts. Not a terrible list though.

CLOUD19833853d ago

To be honest I was expected something better from RPGFan & disappointed very hard at the end.. for example Crisis Core on No3 is outrageous & completely ridiculous choice... & then we have Kingdom Hearts which I can't even call rpg on No8.. tragic nothing else to say many other wrong selection no reason to mention them all & it's pointless this list is simply teribad, at least they put Trails in the Sky high enough this I'm sure is something most ppl agree with.

Weird list... Some games just shouldn't be on there, like (I might grilled for this, but) Star Ocean 2, and Lunar. Those games are seriously overrated by the rpg community.

Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire 3, although ports, should really be on there. And what about Dissidia? It's got a ton of rpg elements to it, and certainly takes as long as any rpg to fully complete.

Also I never played Trails in the Sky, but that girl looks EXACTLY like Kid from Chrono Cross.

Let us Cling Together cannot touch FFT. Besides that, it's all games I wish I played

“This week is a very special episode of the podcast. While we certainly do touch on some happenings on the site, we devote much time to Jonathan, Randy, and Jared sharing their gaming stories. From childhood to youth to now, everyone has a story of how they got into gaming. And no one’s is ever the same, even when some strings of the intertwined web cross.

“Have we been about niche RPGs and Japanese games our entire life? Or is there much more to each of us?”

PSP is/was an RPG powerhouse. O_O

Zichu4044d ago

I have quite a list of games I want to get for the PSP, I think this site mentioned the ones I haven't played yet.

I kind of missed out on a lot of amazing games for the PSP. A lot of them are available on the PSN which I definitely need to go and get, they are quite cheap now. I just want to get a Vita first, this way I will have quite a lot of space to put them all on :D

Protagonist4044d ago

Get a PS Vita and then get Persona 3 Portable.

The "bester" rpg ;o)
