Following last month's closure of Midway Newcastle, the development team responsible for The Wheelman, it has today been revealed that the remainder of Midway's UK business has been purchased for approximately £0.50 (GBP). Midway's managing director for Europe, Martin Spiess, has negotiated the bargain deal, which sees him buy both the Midway Games France and UK offices for 1 Euro, around £0.86 at the time of writing.

Butcher Bay was great. From the prolog, fist fighting, knife fights and story. The immersion of the whole package really uped the criteria of what a cutting edge game was back then. I would like another adventure with Riddick, but it would have to be triple A status to live up to Butcher Bay.

I'm sure that some back-alley deal was struck before these two parties ever met in the flesh to lower the cost of the transfer to keep the maximum amount of employees at the office; especially since it was like they said a "management buyout". The management are the ones every should/shouldn't feel sorry for.
