Yamauchi Discusses GT PSP / GT5 Interaction

It's not unreasonably pessimistic to say that just because
a car is in Gran Turismo PSP, it may not be in Gran Turismo 5.

It's been debated in our forums at length, and we won't have a definitive answer until we can directly compare the car list
from each game.

However, things look a bit brighter when you consider
this recent interview with Kazunori Yamauchi by French gaming site JVN.

It's looking like it, but it's not really that surprising when you consider it.

Gran Turismo 4 had over 700 cars, take into account probably most of those cars making the leap (inevitably, one or two cars won't come back), new updated models, older popular models, NASCAR and new licenses like Lambo and Ferrari, it's easy to see where they're getting the 800+ cars from.

It's going to be epic no matter what. I'm so excited about not only getting to race all those great cars, but to be able to see inside of them with the incredible interior view.

Off-topic: When was this submitted? I tried to submit it yesterday (or the day before, cant remember :p ) but it said the article had already been submitted... Yet I couldn't find it anywhere on the site and it never came up as a duplicate. Whatever.

PD will include some electric cars like the Tesla or maybe hybrid like the Prius.

I think GT5 will have around 1000 cars are more. If a PSP games has double the amount of a 360 game then a PS3 game can have triple the amount. GT5 The REAL Driving Simulator.

I'm just excited for the Nascar actually. All the games for EA sucked so I want to see what a legend can do to make it feel awesome again. That and there being so much variety in this game it's unbelievable.

That's a massive coup by Sony/Polyphony to finally get the Bugatti Veyron and classic poster pin-up car of the 70's Lamborghini Countach LP400 for the GT5... please add the Mazda Furai LeMans concept in there too, maybe as future download.
