IGN: F2P Spotlight: A Look at Wizard101

In this age of growing online socialization, it's a little surprising how so few MMORPGs offer the single most important social feature: housing. Perhaps it's because games have traditionally been about competition so the focus has been mostly on combat and the systems that support it.

For games like Wizard 101 though, with a target audience that's more interested in the social aspect of online games--in other words, playing with their friends and showing off stuff they've accomplished or acquired--it only makes sense that building and decorating homes is a big part of the experience. Even so, housing was just introduced in Wizard 101 not too long ago, and it's the first of the tweencentric MMOs to do so.
