PSX Extreme: The Warriors: Street Brawl Preview

PSX Extreme writes: "It's unlikely that you're old enough to remember "The Warriors," a now-classic movie from 1979 that featured an unbelievable cast and some of the grittiest, most emotional moments ever seen in a teen movie. You can look it up on Wikipedia if you wish, but in a nutshell, the film is about the violent life of a street gang and what happens one fateful night. It's a pretty great movie and it spawned a video game many years later, when Rockstar produced The Warriors for the PS2 and Xbox back in 2005. Well, Paramount wants to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary in 2009, so they're planning to release a downloadable title that should appeal to all fans of old-school beat-'em-ups like Final Fight and Fighting Force."

Butcher Bay is still an awesome game. Ghost Rider surprised me with how good it was, very GoW like. Warriors is another great one but with the exception of R&C, i havent played the others.

Forgotten? Those are three of my favorite PS2 games right there in the thumbnail.
Cel-shaded Spider-man with playable Venom parts, Mexican Max Payne and a Rockstar classic that got me to watch the cult classic movie it was based on (also had kickass multiplayer modes, King of the Hill one was great).

Gun was basically Red dead Redemption for the PS2 (never played Red Dead Revolver) and had awesome dismemberment for its time. Scarface, never finished that one.

The Warriors is one of those games on the PS2 that I am yet to buy. Then on the PS3 I have more that I am yet to buy, and on the PS4 there's even a heck of a lot more. I'll never have enough money, lol

Such an awesome game! Still own my original complete copy. Classic rockstar game and film. Manhunt was also another good one, which I still own on PS2. Some games are just too classic for me to ever part with I guess.
