EA planning on aggressive marketing for Brütal Legend, Dragon Age

Uncharted 2 is being advertised all over Playstation Home.

It's been at every major recent gaming event and won game critics best of E3 (Which is major advertising right there)

If i'm not mistaken it's even being advertised here on N4G.And countless other sites.

Sony may not flood the TV stations with adds, but, they do advertise where it's needed most.Directly to the gamers.

Considering it was the most hyped game since GTA4. Apparently there is something to be said about traditional tv advertising.

Sony advertises but has to rely on it's loyal fan base to sell games. the only reason Uncharted has sold past 2 mil is because of us not them.

If Sony would have hit the air waves heavily you can bet your bottom dollar that Killzone 2 would have sold more.

My point is that most of the gamers I know don't even go online for info. They get their GameInformer with their Gamestop card, and read that every month. Other then that they watch tv.

Seems to me, with Infamous, they have changed their approach a bit. I saw more commercials for infamous then any other Sony game.

Either way, Brutal Legends is going to be sick. I'm getting this, Uncharted 2, and ODST this holiday.

I'd love to see both games do well. I want EA on top again, Activition sucks...

Good, I hope these two well deserving titles get the exposure they deserve. I'm glad EA is supporting new IPs. I can already see Dragon Age as a 3 million plus game because Bioware has a huge following.

It looks ok, but I can't imagine much depth in a game running on star power. It just seems like one of those games that's going to be very cool for about a week with no staying power. I haven't read a heck of a lot about though, so could be off. Superficially, I'd take Uncharted 2 over it in a heartbeat.

But Tony P, RPG nut, would take DA:O over both.

I've watched all the videoes on gametrailers and youtube of this game trying to figure out wtf! it's all about. I think it looks dull, boring and stupid. I don't like jack black very much, guitars and heavy metal doesn't do it for me either. so i'm not gonna touch this one bit.

ill rent Brutal for my ps3 and buy DA for my PC. both seem like fun games. hopefully Activision doesnt get all butt hurt and stop Brutal from being releases in Oct.

targeting the "dude i'm so high right now" and the "dude i'm so drunk right now" this game is perfect for the madden/guitar hero generation

hopefully ps3 fans will get dragon age instead of a game with star power and that most likely will be overrated

I am definitely getting Brutal Legend. I don't like Jack Black or Heavy Metal but the game looks excellent. Tim know quality. Dragon Age on the other hand has too much blood and gore, if there is some sort of filter I might but it.

Brutal Legend for the 360 and Uncharted 2 for the PS3.

Activision didn't win the lawsuit against Tim Schafer/EA? Thank God, those bastards.
