Joe is not a sacred ground for me, so when I heard a live action movie was in the works I said "I bet it will at least be entertaining". Alongside each summer blockbuster must also reside a tie-in videogame, and this time EA has the pleasure of delivering the goods. The Rise of Cobra has decided to inject a little bit of old-school flavor to the mix by calling on classics such as Contra and Ikari Warriors for inspiration. What we end up getting is a solid, if not predictable shooter, that manages to entertain, but still comes up short in a few key areas.

I would love a good GI Joe game...I'm thinking a gritty FPS that is secretly super cheesy. Like, you've got your team of dudes charging into battle yelling "WE'RE OSCAR MIKE!" or whatever, but then they're all carrying laser guns and nobody gets killed.
Holy crap, that last G.I. Joe game was utter crap. Yes, I played it. At gunpoint. Shoulda just taken the bullet.

The one doing laundry is the same ciosplayer who does that super popular Morrigan. She's very well 'equipped' for cosplaying.
The more I read and hear about how this is a lot like Contra, the closer I get to buying it. I heard the movie is good too.
WTF!? The graphics alone are worthy of a 1 out 10 for this game and the gameplay has been abysmal at best. Even a GI Joe fan can't enjoy this crappy game. Expect a 50 or lower average on MetaCritic.
Even IGN's 5.8 out of 10 is too much IMO.
That ain't so bad. When they said 'like Contra', i thought they meant absolutely 2D.....lol
its really an ugly game,the engine seems past generation!EA has so many good engines " COD,DEAD SPACE,DANTES INFERNO..."and went on using this crappy engine!
