From the review: "In Passport to Perfume you play as Sophia, a perfume maker and shop owner who is searching for the long-lost recipe to the perfume used by Marie Antoinette herself. Most of the game takes place in the perfumery, where you control Sophia and manage your customers' requests. This part of the game is very similar to Cake Mania, since you must look at the customers' thought bubbles to see what sort of perfume they want. They will ask for specific bottle shapes, perfume colors, and little extras such as glitter or a colored spritzer."
From the review, "Sophia and her father shared a dream, to recover the recipe for Marie Antoinette's perfume and once again create that legendary scent. While acquiring a rare ingredient in Brazil, Sophia's father fell from a precarious ledge to his doom. It was then that Sophia temporarily abandoned her dream.
One day, years later, a man comes into her shop with her father's journal. Inside are hints and information on rare perfume formulas, locations of illusive ingredients and quite a bit of information on Marie Antoinette's perfume.
Sophia takes this as a sign to once again pursue her dreams..."
In Passport to Perfume, you play Sophia, an aspiring young perfume maker living during the 1940's. In standard time management fashion, you spend your days serving the customer's needs, trying to give them what they want fast enough to make the most money from them. To do this, you have a couple of different methods, depending on what the customer requests.
Gamezebo writes: "A field research trip to a world famous perfumer is a dream come true for most women - for me as a female producer - it was an eye opener into the decadent word of luxurious perfumes and one which truly informs the game experience in the upcoming game title, Passport to Perfume."
