AV Club: Holy Invasion Of Privacy, Badman Review

While the look is rooted in console RPG lore, the story mode's gradual build of armies and resources plays more like a sped-up Civilization with a dash of subterranean Dig Dug flavor. After conquering the unnecessarily steep learning curve, players will likely feel the sense of exasperation melt away, although the constant "Do you want to save?" screens act as a sort of Chinese water torture. The game doesn't get easy, but the slow improvement of your dungeon-design skills, culminating in the defeat of those smarmy heroes of light, make Badman worth the effort.

Holy Heroes, Badman Is Back For PlayStation Vita

Badman, the titular character in No Heroes Allowed and What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord?, just wants to rest inside his evil lair, but pesky heroes keep invading his home.

The puzzle game developed by Sony and Acquire has players maintain a monster ecosystem to protect Badman and defeat wandering heroes.

Badman G was announced as a PlayStation Vita title in this week’s issue of Famitsu. The game is a free to play title with in game item purchases. Badman G also supports four player co-op.

NIS America localized the first two Badman games and Sony Computer Entertainment America picked up the third so there is a decent chance Badman G will get localized.

From Bad To Lord

Allison Walter – Product and Development Manager for Europe, NIS America: Hi everyone! I have a few bits of important news to announce!

The first is, Badman has decided to change his bad image, or at least his name. Let it be known: The Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman series will immediately be referred to as What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? The original title had a conflict of interest with an existing IP and it was not NIS America's intention to create any conflict. This new title is intended to better represent the game's whacky retro dungeon world and connect the player's awareness with the overall theme of the game.

Now the title has no pesky syllables that could be used to identify the game.

stupid long-ass name for no reason except just to be long and obnoxious to say.

Yeah, though I suppose it does make it unique in its obnoxiously own little way.

A delay to change a name :)?
Cool game tho, dont mind a sequel.

Probably had to do with DC comics owning Plastic Man

Plasticman?

Thought this whole thing was about badman being too close to Batman. The "holy" being a direct rip on the 60's TV show.

LtSkittles5189d ago

Godmars, it was a joke. At least, I think it was.

Both old & new names are really stupid sounding
