IGN got their hands on NCAA Football 08 for a quick game Thursday, they naturally chose to play the most pressure-packed game out there: Michigan at Ohio State.
NCAA 08 is still relatively early in development, somewhere in mid-Alpha, EA says. Like most football teams this time of year, NCAA 08 has plenty of apparent flaws that need fine-tuning. But like the Wolverines (stacked again) and the ever-dangerous Buckeyes, NCAA 08 shows a lot of promise too.

Selecting a player to be on the front of a video game has been anything other than an exact science. There has been a stigma attached to players on the front of the Madden Football boxes known as the "Madden Curse".
The college games have to deal with a different process because current college student athletes are not allowed to be on the covers due to NCAA rules. Selecting a player that was hot the year before has been the common practice for the most part. Sadly the players they select often times do not amount to much after their years with their college teams.

I am impressed with the demo for this game despite the fact I have thought the next-gen versions of NCAA and Madden have been subpar up to now (to their credit, they have been getting better). Maybe this is finally the year "next-gen" gameplay/responsiveness can match "last-gen's".
Yes this video came at the perfect time, the NFL Draft is being held this weekend! Lots of features I am looking forward from this game, the statue of liberty and the circus play. Probably the best game I have ever seen was played a couple of miles from my house. Go Boise State!
than Madden 08. In fact, I think I'm going to skip Madden altogether this year.

as i can throw a swing pass to allen patrick, demarco murray, chris brown, mossis madu, or jacob guitierrez without them automatically running out of bounds after 2 yards i'm good. be nice if the spin and juke moves actually work, and that 300 lb DEs can't outrun my QB to the edge every time.
