Feed Your Console Says:
I love me some football - Especially of the college variety. The game just seems to mean so much more to these guys. They're playing for their hopeful professional futures, their schools and pride - not the next big contract or the millions of dollars in endorsements. This is what really draws me to college ball.
It's been about 2 years since I picked up NCAA Football, so I wasn't sure what to expect this year having read nothing about it. Immediately I jumped into the "Road to Glory" (previously known as Campus Legend) and created myself a player. From there, they put you in the shoes of your player in the midst of the State championships tournament where you have to put on your best show for the college scouts.
The ongoing controversy over language filtering on Xbox Live has another curious manifestation - rosters that EA Sports' TeamBuilder auto-names get filtered when they're imported into the Xbox Live version of NCAA 10.
As an example, the above player was auto-named "Jason Gay" at the online TeamBuilder site. But imported into the Xbox 360 version, the player was renamed "Jason XXX." Users may manually change the name back in all modes of play into which created teams are imported, both online and offline.
The filtering, however, does make EA Sports look like it's demonizing the word, a delicate and persistent issue in online gaming. But in fact, EA's code has no problem with it; in the game, play-by-play man Brad Nessler says the name for players who have it.
Keep staying classy, Milkcroshaft. We wouldn't have the lols today without you or Nintendo's retarded senselessness.
Skewed and Reviewed have posted their review of NCAA 10. Despite some issues with the A.I. The enjoyed the mini games and strategy of the game as well as the online play.
PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "In just over a week, PlayStation LifeStyle will be reporting live from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). We've been trying to get a handle on the plethora of PlayStation games that will be on display from June 2 through June 4, and it's quite astounding. If you weren't excited about the prospect of new announcements for the PlayStation brand, what if we told you there will be over 75 unique PlayStation games on display - that we know about?! While many are multiplatform titles (though the best still appear to be Sony-exclusive), it is a large increase from last year's showing."
E3, less than 10 days away.
I am gonna miss the PS.Blog meet up, my flight lands early Monday morning. :(
Once I land it's straight to the EA Press Conference, then Ubisoft.
Especially after the amazing TRICO reveal. So many good games coming out this year and into the next. After the high quality title that is Demon's Souls, I am looking forward to FROM SOFTWARE's next game.
