Some info on the latest site updates.
CRank
As many of you have noticed all Contributors now have a CRank. The CRank or Contributor Rank determines how many news post you can make each day. With a CRank 5 you can post a maximum of 5 stories within a 24 hour time frame. Members who reach a CRank of 20 will be able to apply for an N4G Editor role. Your CRank will increase if you edit your news post according to the N4G Guidelines. On the other hand members who keep ignoring the N4G posting guidelines and just copy and paste text from other websites without doing the proper editing will get their CRank lowered. See the N4G News posting guidelines and News Posting Tips for more info about proper editing of news posts.
Rating of News posts
You can now give each other feedback by rating news posts. Keep in mind that this is not for rating the content of the articles at the source. This is only a technical rating for the quality of the news posts on N4G.
Duplicate Story Tool
You can now easier check for duplicate stories.
Speech Bubbles
We have made some adjustment to the speech bubbles system. It is now harder for people to abuse the system.
Contributor Test
We have made the Contributor test a bit easier, so those of you who failed the test might want to try again now.
N4G Podcast
We now have a Podcast for the site. The show is produced by ZeroTolerance and his team. ZT is editor in chief over at N4G’s sister site ZTGameDomain.com, one of the longest running game sites on the net. We are still working on finding a good formula for the show so if you want to take part in this process please visit the forums and give us some feedback.
If you have ideas for new site features or things you would like us to improve please let us know through the feedback form or you can just post your ideas in the comment section below.
Nintendo's E3 Direct presentation is now over and while we got some amazing announcements, we still have some questions after it ended.
Many of the reveals at Square Enix's E3 presentation were expected, but others threw audiences for a loop. Here are the five most surprising announcements.
In this E3 special episode, Kiaun will go over Microsoft's E3 presentation along with other announcements that were made at their conference.
