PlayStation Home Manager Issues a Warning to Members

It appears Sony is cracking down on those who are sharing their PSN identification and password to grant select items in PlayStation Home.

PSN game sharing is also labeled as violating the ToS later in the PS Forum thread.

Community Manager CydoniaX stated the following:

Warning details at source link.

home actually has members O=
i thought everyone would be bored of it by now lol xP
kidding lol

It's a social network. Social networks are pretty much a phenomenon right now so it'd be more surprising if it didn't have members.

I don't use Home much at all but can understand why others would love it.

Chubear5414d ago

Yes, over 6 million members. You just keep hating and laughing while others just keep having their fun and enjoying themselves.

"PSN game sharing is also labeled as violating the ToS later in the PS Forum thread (linked above)"

Absolutely false if you keep reading the thread.

"[...]This is a consistent reminder about best practices for protecting the security of your PSN account.

I am referring to specific actions taken by specific individuals recently that involve granting items to people by using their account info. I am not talking about gamesharing.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

~CydoniaX"

Edit: I don't want to be too harsh, but there it is.

please take ur stupid comment to the other tab please.

Karum5413d ago

I think you mean comment 1 and not 1.1

If you do mean 1.1 then I don't really know what to say lol.

JonnyBigBoss5413d ago

It's not for everyone, but people who like Second Life, The Sims or There love it. Quit hating on it just because it isn't for you, you selfish guy.

RememberThe3575413d ago

I do it to check out what has changed. Last time I got on I got free Infamous clothing, so that was pretty sweet. But generally I'm bored as hell in Home so I don't go on much.

It sounds like they're trying to crack down on people scamming others details, and not on the actual item sharing

KillerPwned5414d ago

Its a complete ban for life yeah you can make another account depending on how much you shared. My friend did it alot and his hole console got bricked by sony wasent able to go online anymore at all.

Let me clear up some misconceptions. The Message of the Day they have in the UK is I believe part of their everyday message, reminding people that giving out your account information is never a good idea. This is a consistent reminder about best practices for protecting the security of your PSN account.

I am referring to specific actions taken by specific individuals recently that involve granting items to people by using their account info. I am not talking about gamesharing.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

are you able to read?? not talking about G A M E S H A R I N G

"PSN game sharing is also labeled as violating the ToS later in the PS Forum thread."

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
