Plan on getting out of bed when the rooster crows on July 21 because that's the day Alawar Entertainment will be launching Farm Frenzy 3, the latest game in its Farm Frenzy farming sim series.
Developed by Alawar Melesta, Farm Frenzy 3 introduces Scarlett, a country girl who's as smart as she is pretty. Scarlett doesn't like how Orson, the president of the Farmer's Union, has been pocketing the dues of farmers and then refusing to help them in their hour of need, so she sets out to win the presidency by helping the farmers get back on their feet the old fashioned way: working hard!

Between the 5AM starts, the back-breaking physical labour, and the ever-present odour of ordure, it’s difficult to imagine why anyone would see the farmer’s life as some sort of gentle idyllic fantasy to be recreated in casual video games.
A glance in Farm Frenzy 3’s direction might have you believe that the game is similarly deluded about the farmer’s lot in life, with its cutesy graphics and cartoon guineafowl. But, as its title suggests, the Farm Frenzy series offer a rather more manic take on farming than you might expect.
