No it's supposed to come out this year apparently. I doubt sales will be affected greaatly though as there's a large following from people who only enjoy racers.

imo GT5 will be the most realstic car simulator .. nice to see Same ferrari in both game... but in visuals we must wait and see.( like weather in PGR.. )

PGR will be the best selling 360 racing game for sure.. but I wont get it...

AA well i think theres no doubt GT 5 will look the nicest.

But like all before them, it will have the worse pyshics once again, when you compare it.

PGR has always had better pyshics, Forza 1 was miles ahead, forza 2 will be even further ahead.

GT 5 will look the prettiest, but wont play as nice/

LOL the game looks out of this world why do people always bring up GT/HD/5 when they come into 360 racer threads you have no idea what GT5 will be like i doubt it will do anything different if it even matches these 360 racers.

What i'm waiting for is pictures of GT5 to be released so fanboys can finally realized its that the godly racer they have pictured in their mind. I honestly believe that game is going to alot closer to GTHD since it's going to use the same engine they obviously are going to add in more effects but the extra time is to add more levels and cars.

As for PGR4 its beautful as usual, pgr3 still looks great after its nearly 1.5 years after release and now that bizarre get their sweet time to develop it I hope they knock out socks off in terms of both visuals and gameplay. I have a feeling the games going to be 1080p, just to show the world. Its quite an acheivement if they can maintain the framerate and all the effects at that resolution, hey someones got to do it.

There for this game if it comes out toward the end of this year or early next year will only be marginally better thanForza,and secondly this wont compete with GT5 or Forza2 because both GT5 and Forza are driving simulators and PGR is an arcade. so please the comparisons can stop. they are better of comparing this to Rigde racer or Need for speed which it clearly kills, forza2 and GT5 are the ones to be compared,a nd as of right now, GThd/GT5 looks to surpass both. and that game doens't even come out till late late late December07-feb08 we'll see whats GT5 will be like at this years E3 when we can make some head to head Comparisons with both games

I dont think its fair to compared GT 5 and Forza, look at when the release dates are...

Its like, the 360 people comparing GeOW to R:FOM, all you have to say is, well R:FOM was a launch game. GeOW wasnt.
Its the same thing, as in a year, think about what games will look like, compared to now, it just isnt fair to cpmare the two.

Where do Sony fans get their info and pics of GT5.

Many people consider GT so behind in sim evolution that its just thought of as a fancy Arcade racer thats why people compare GT to arcade Racers.

GTHD looks pretty good but its simple when it comes to real world effects and physics its like saying that painting looks real but the human minds see's many layers of our realality(lighting, realtime reflections, weather and physics effects, dirt in real time, sense of danger and loss etc.)all working together.

GT is bland, dull life-less looking to say the least and sense GT5 is useing the same Assests as GTHD and GTHD not being a full game and has limited cars on screen GT5 will be a bigger game that looks marginally worse than GTHD.

Classic Sony look/touch: GTHD has the signature Dull/bland/life-less filtered look used as a short-cut for realism not that the hardware choice doesn't factor in on all the other advanced things i mentioned that Sony games generally lack.

You people blame the devs for being lazy due to poor versions of PS3 games never considering games such as Splinter Cell are graphiclly/hardware taxing on and is the reason devs work so hard to get the same results even though the PS3 design may not handle Xbox 360 type of games.

The XBOX Handled Ports just fine I gues the devs were not lazzy back when the XBOX was new, devs seemed to be doing a great job not being lazy from day one last generation.

If this is ingame then it really is a huge leap between PGR3 and 4. Of course, the scans are a bit low quality but still... Looks great!

IMO forza 2 will be the most realistic racer and I wouldnt be surprised if it looks better than GT%. Have you seen the new screens of it? They're scary real.

I'm still waiting for Sony to drop their prices here in Oz which is far too expensive still - AU$1,000.00 console alone, and not enough games to choose from. Also I have tried playing a few PS3 ( racing ) games, very good graphics - only ruined by the exclusion of force feedback, It's just not the same w/out them. The most basic form of inter-action in racing, gone. You'ved got one of the best graphics a console can offer, and you can't even feel a thing. Heard rumors their going to bring this back - but is it true though that it will only be available on some games?!!, and that it can only be downloaded?!! As for the mighty GranTurismo, if it would'nt have damage mode ( can't believe this is already their 5th? installment and still nothing...what a load of... ) why can't they just implement this, like putting a sort of control on the game where you can enable/disable it to please the fans out there, c'mon Sony. The GT Series got me into gaming but this is now 2007, and still no damage mode, is ricocheting ( if you ever crash on something - real simulation??!!! Utter stupidity! ) which is why I'm still holding onto my budget before I ever buy a PS3. If Sony could bring their prices down further, bring in ( more games ) and please include rumble back on the control pads!!! That is why PGR4 will be better, not only does it have damage mode and control pad rumble - the choice of in-car camera shots are truly astounding. Can't complain w/ the graphics and the great number of cars to choose from, game playability is way-up there ( thanks for the kudos mode ) this game is Tops!!!
