Phoenix Wright's replacement wins over Japanese DS gamers

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations is due to be released in the UK sometime this autumn. Over in its homeland, however, Gyakuten Saiban 4 (as the fourth Phoenix Wright game is known there) has just been released, shooting straight to the top of the charts with over 250,000 copies sold in one week.

Here is a playable preview version of Gyakuten Saiban 4 in Flash. The DS version of what we'd call Phoenix Wright 4 is still a couple of months away from its Japanese release.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 4 English trailer

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All for the DS will be released Q1 2007, which is a remake of Gyakuten Saiban 2 for the GBA.

After skipping the GBA's part 3, Capcom moved on to Gyakuten Saiban 4 for the DS, which is an all-new game built from the ground up as a DS title. And looking at the below trailer it might have both Japanese & English language options in it like the original DS version did in Japan.

Famitsu's Most Wanted Games

Square Enix, as usual, has a lot of hype going for their titles with over four games on Famitsu's Most Wanted list. Many of Nintendo's upcoming DS and Wii games are also listed, though Twilight Princess has sadly been dropping down the list during the past few months. Xbox 360 only having one game on the list being Blue Dragon.
