The original World Mosaics title was a decent "picross" title, brimming with loads of puzzles and a mildly interesting story that wove the main game together. Its sequel, World Mosaics 2, returns with the plethora of puzzles of its predecessor, improves on some aspects of the first title, but strangely addresses none of the issues
A look at this week's news from the world of MMOs, including Aion, Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, Fallen Earth, Guild Wars 2, Star Trek Online and Final Fantasy XIV.
Despite the problems, Aion's got off to a cracking start. I see good things for that game. Notice how no one's really said anything bad about it :)
Warhammer Online looks to be slipping badly. Not that I know from personal experience, never played it. Just didn't appeal to me.
Aion looks good though.
I think they're on the ball with the Aion stuff. Nothing really has a "good" launch but it actually seems like they know what they're doing.
JIG: "For the uninitiated, picross puzzles are logic puzzles where you fill in squares on a grid to form a picture. Numbers line the top and left sides of the grid, each indicating a number of blocks to fill. What they don't tell you, however, is how many empty spaces there are. For example, if a row says "2 3 1", you know there are two blocks that need to be filled in, followed by at least once space, followed by three more filled blocks, followed by a single filled square. By using logic you can gradually narrow down the possibilities until each segment is a certainty."
