Nick @ PS3Center writes:
Once the near year rolled around, the game was ported to the XBox 360, and in February, UFO Interactive announced it would be publishing the game in the North America. The kicker? UFO, a relatively small publisher, is only licensed to put out games for the XBox 360, which indicated the game would be an XBox 360 exclusive in the US.
If you're one of the 7 samurai eagerly following this title, take a deep breath and relax. It appears the game will be making it's way to North American PS3 owners as well.
Acquire, famous for games like Tenchu and Octopath Traveler, becomes KADOKAWA subsidiary. Can this mean a revival for beloved series?
I would kill to have a Way of the Samurai game with a huge budget and modern tech... The first game was one of my greatest joys on PS2 back in the day. And I really hope From Software will do something with Tenchu... I hate that they're just sitting on the IP like it doesn't even exist.
Tenchu would be superb in this day and age. Ninja and samurai games are hot right now and more is better.
Cultured Vultures: If you've got a bit of time to kill before the launch of Ghost of Tsushima on July 17th, we've got a few games for you to consider.
5 games to play before you play Ghost Of Tsushima? Bih the game releases in about 2 weeks time. I want to know how I can go to sleep and wake up the minute the game is playable. I'm dying to play this game
Sekiro sekiro sekiro. Loved that game world. Still havent beat it cuz im a noob, but i still love the game
Ugh, while I enjoyed Nioh overall, I hated the stance dance. If Ghosts forces you to constantly adjust fighting stances as well, I'm gonna wait for it to drop in price
Jerry from BagoGames says, "Way of the Samurai has been on my "to-play" stack for quite sometime, but with the imminent release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice I wanted to take a look at a game in that same vein. Since I can't play games out of order, I decided to start with the first game in this series which was developed by Spike and ACQUIRE."
Was such an awesome game and trying to be at the right place at the right time to help and save everyone, join a faction, or go rogue. And so many weapons. Just don't break them. I still keep WoftS as one of the reasons of still having a PS2.
Would buy a good remake or remaster of this game in a second.
Just got a hold of the entire series, can't wait to get into it. Only played some of the first and 3rd one and really liked it.
It was a 360 exclusive at some point? wtf? lol
Thats good...this is truly one of those unfound gems
who really cares about this below average series?
thank god, i was pretty pissed when the game was announced as 360 exclusive in the US. i know the games aren't perfect, they are very unpolished, but they still offer an experience that cant be found else where.
The Way of the Exploding Fist > Way of the Samurai
