From the abysmal Beast Wars games to the highs of Atari's wonderful 2004 the Autobots and Decepticons have had their fair share of praise and condemnation. Unfortunately the last attempt at bringing the franchise to home consoles, the tie-in to the first Michael Bay movie, fell in with the bad crowd and delivered an experience few would choose to remember. Well, it's time for a new movie and a new developer to take on the franchise and, thankfully, do a much better job with it."
The Good
* Great character models and, in general, stronger presentation that the last game.
* Missions are simple but fun. Robots shoot other robots.
* Decent multiplayer modes and an interesting play dynamic. Robust too.
* Challenges, time trial medals and more pack it out to be a decent package.
The Bad
* Very little variation between the Autobot and Decepticon campaign this time around.
* Little love shown for vehicle modes – controls should have been better.
* Most Decepticons are somewhat gimped by poor weapon combinations.
The Ugly
* Eventually the novelty/repetition ratio will fail.

Activision has shared news about two new Transformers bundles being released just in time for the Christmas holidays. Under license from Hasbro: Transformers: Ultimate Battle Edition and Transformers: Ultimate Autobots Edition will be made available this winter for Wii and Nintendo DS respectively.

The PS2 version I liked and War for Cybertron was a great title to play aswell I can't wait for Fall of Cybertron to come out.
I used to have a transformers game on my c64 back in the day. Loved that game. Never could get anywhere in this game though. Still played the hell out of it.
Poor Ocean, they always tried so hard and never got their $hlt together...much like alot of companies are doing today....still good stuff tho
Transformers Armada and WFC are by far the best Transformer games. I urge anyone who hasn't yet played them to do so asap.
