According to the reports, the banks Chief Executive known as Ricdic in the game, decided to exchange the ISK amounting to about 8% of the Banks holdings for real world currency worth ~£3100. When details of the theft emerged, it caused a run on the virtual bank, mirroring what occurred to real banks like Northern Rock during the Credit Crunch."
