PSN has tons of original great titles such as Pain, Rag doll Kung Fu, Flower, and now The Punisher. Sony is really stepping it up being able to get games of this quality exclusively

My interpretation was that the game was exclusive to PSN, and that this was the news of interest, not that it was in any was exclusive to HHG. If it was, it would be weird to post in on YouTube, right?

If that's what it was then I would've thought he would have had his title say "PSN EXCLUSIVE THE PUNISHER etc." but I am pretty sure he is claiming exclusivity for having the first vid of The Punisher's new trailer.

I know there is a difference between "would have" and "should have". That is why I put "would have", because I think he is claiming exclusivity to the video. If I said "should have" then I would've been thinking it was a mistake. I don't think this title was a mistake, especially considering HHG and his usual "title brings the hits" type writing.

With this and Psychokinetic Wars, the remake of Serious Sam too. Downloadable original FPS on consoles could be the way of the future. I don't mind that either.

It really is odd how downloadable titles can easily stand up with the anticipation of retail games. But I love it.

Did I read it wrong the other day or do you even get a single player mode with this now? If you do and it's more than the L4D/UT3 practise for MP then this is bargain in a download isn't it?

At $9.99 it might even land in the UK for around £5.99 which is amazing value if it plays anything like it looks! Digital value for a change , eh?

Everything I have read has said single player as well as multiplayer(which it has indeed always been, not just a new addition). Which is just brilliant value.

I only though the SP had been added retly as last year in OPM:UK they said something about this getting a cheap PSN release partly due to "dropping" the SP which "would've been pants anyway" so maybe they got it wrong back then OR the SP was put back in at a later date.

IDK, but whatever it looks like lots of game for very little cost and if it's action can anywhere near measure up to L4D's shooting mechanics it could prove a massive hit, imo. I guess, bizarrely, that the low price might hurt sales if people take it as a sign of zero quality but I really can't wait to see how this one plays.

L4D on PC/360 showed that there's a very big market for a targetted, simple, well balanced shooter and if Punisher can dop the same kind of thing on a budget it'll deserve big praise. Remember, even on PC L4D is no looker and that sold really well so this, if the shooting works well and modes are tight really should find a niche for itself, no?

Last I read was IGN and they said there would be a Single Player component all within a 1GB download.

But the official confirmation of the release date DID say single player story was IN.
