Lens of Truth: Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen Comparison (720p)

Lens of Truth writes, "Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen was developed by the guys at Luxoflux and is due to hit both systems on June 23rd - the same day the film rocks the theaters. After the Ghostbusters fiasco last week we weren't sure what to expect with this movie based Head2Head. We just hoped that this time around someone didn't drop the ball like Terminal Reality did, but incredibly Luxoflux didn't."

I'm on the fence about getting this game but if I was I would get it for the PS3. When's this come out??

Kushan5438d ago

I've yet to see a 360 fanboy say that. But then again, I stay away from the OpenZone. Maybe that's where you meant to post that?

el zorro5438d ago

Too bad the game looks like crap on both consoles.

Jaces5438d ago

It wasn't a matter of whether they said it or not, it's how they summed the comparison up.

They acted like what I posted above....which is now deleted, oh well. Guess I went a lil overboard.

So did they decide to use equal builds this time?

Guys watched the movie yet? I was a little disappointed, preferred the first, good action, bizarre story.

Sea_Man5438d ago

Are you serious or did you not follow the Ghostbusters story?

Fishy Fingers5438d ago (Edited 5438d ago )

Guess i didnt follow it, last I heard they used different builds for each system. Am I incorrect? Sorry I tend to play rather than argue.

@ TheHater, hope you enjoy it. It's a good film all in all, little to long, little to much comedy but great action and fantastic CGI. Plus Megan Fox ;)

TheHater5438d ago

I am going to watch the new movie Wednesday. Cannot wait to see it.

Sea_Man5438d ago (Edited 5438d ago )

I agree but wow were they right. If you want take a look at the links.

But basically they were freaking right, it was crazy!

EDIT:@TheHater

Me too I can't wait! @Fishy Fingers: how did you get to see it early?

Fishy Fingers5438d ago (Edited 5438d ago )

Released here (UK) last Friday. We got something early for once :)

Oh yeah and I know there were distinct differences between versions, that much has been mentioned in he majority of threads I've clicked on over the last few days. Ghostbusters related or not.

jaidek5438d ago

man, that's awesome that you guys got the movie first. I can't wait for this film. Gonna be a blast!

jerethdagryphon5438d ago (Edited 5438d ago )

most of it work within accepted canon and make intrnal sense
as to the game

same thinge as in all good ports,
ps3= red tinge softer/ blurred textures cutscenes seemed to has a greese filter of ther the camera

360 blue tinge sharper textures no greese filter but harsher geometry

he reson it game out bettr was the actors had limited say in what happened this time and the guy ho plays sam made osme sugestions i gather still good work

Maybe Terminal Reality should take notes here.

el zorro5438d ago

You mean Terminal Reality along with about 90% or all other multiplatform developers out there? Sadly, it isn't just Terminal Reality having problems on the PS3.

Terminal Reality's work was particularly bad on the PS3, but it is obvious a majority of developers are having problems on the PS3 getting their PS3 versions up to the quality of their 360 versions.

Recent games that I have looked at that have looked better on the 360 are:
Chronicles of Riddick AoDA
Up
Red Faction
FEAR 2
FUEL
Wolverine (360 version has better framerate and less screentearing)

We have seen some improvement, but PS3 versions still tend to be inferior to 360 versions in most of the multiplatform games that I have looked at.

Baron795438d ago

from the article:

"Hats off to Luxofluxor porting Transformers across platforms flawlessly".

I agree, nice to see these two turn out the same.

jaidek5438d ago

yeah, while it may not be the most technical or even a great game, it is nice to see them at least keep the quality the same on both platforms. I was thinking this game was going to be a disaster.

evildeli5438d ago

Even though the game is boring at least it's perfect port.

I used to have a transformers game on my c64 back in the day. Loved that game. Never could get anywhere in this game though. Still played the hell out of it.

Freddy_Millz14601d ago (Edited 4601d ago )

Poor Ocean, they always tried so hard and never got their $hlt together...much like alot of companies are doing today....still good stuff tho

tigertron4601d ago

Transformers Armada and WFC are by far the best Transformer games. I urge anyone who hasn't yet played them to do so asap.
