Joystiq Interview: Tecmo On Nostalgia

Tecmo's Nostalgeo no Kaze, being localized as Nostalgia by Ignition Entertainment, is a fantasy RPG set in a fictionalized version of our own world in the late 19th century. In this steampunk-inspired world, a young man named Eddy searches for legendary treasures, traveling around the world ... on his zeppelin.

During E3, Joystiq had the opportunity to speak briefly with producer Keisuke Kikuchi (best known for creating Fatal Frame) and director Naoki Morita (known for his work on Sega's Sakura Taisen series, which is finally coming to North America) about the inspiration behind the fanciful Nintendo DS RPG, and about life after the Tecmo-Koei merger.

another child/kids/childrens are heroes game.
For goodness sake, these people never change!
Always kids being the hero!

Anyway game looks like its for DS/Wii, so I won't and shouldn't care about it:/

Yes it's for the DS, where the best RPGs and the most RPGs are this gen(as well as the PSP having some awesome ones).

I'm definately keeping an eye on this. I'm glad Matrix has been able to spend the money from Final Fantasy on their own projects.

I was into the idea of a Gale and Colosseum remaster but with how Nintendo has been handling their remaster I don't want em anymore personally. Pokemon pinball would most likely end up being a 60 dollar port too

dmorii1015d ago

Yeah Pokemon Pinball would be great as a 20 dollar game. 40 max if they include a ton of content.

Oh man I can't wait to get my hands on these!

This is a great opportunity missed... I honestly think some box art or concept art would have worked so much better...
The Designers Republic stuff for wipeout alone is amazing. Some of the best work for an IP to date and still stand up so long after the first release. Instead they opted for some lazy screenshots.

Wasted opportunity
