How E3 influenced my choices for Holiday season '09

BrutalGamer.com writes : I like to think I am fairly astute when it comes to picking the diamonds from the turds when games are in production. With that said I am first to admit I can be wrong - 50 Cent Blood on the Sand looked like a trainwreck but turned out to be fun and playable. So with that in mind I took stock of what games I was most psyched for BEFORE E3 and what titles now float my top 5 boat. Whilst indulging in the time of reflection I thought I would ask my fellow BG'ers what their thought were too.

Nitendo has never had a press conference better than Sony or Microsoft, they never where champs and never will be. Unless we are talking about the causual market, because then I would have to agree with you.

P.S: yes i know Nitendo has sold more but that doesn't mean they make better games.

You are funny.

Before E3
1. Uncharted 2
2. MW2
3. GOW3
4. AC2
5. Batman AA

After
1. Uncharted 2
2. GOW 3
3. Just Cause 2
4. AC2
5. MW2

There are so many great games it is re-dunk-u-lous! Choosing a top 5 is hard. #1 was easy after playing the multi-player beta...Holy crap did the MP blow me away, never figured it would be that good.

once again thanks for all the comments - man I totally forgot about Just Cause 2 :)

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave49d ago (Edited 49d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
