Fate of Atlantis was one of the most celebrated games produced by LucasArts. Here’s hoping Dial of Destiny can compete.
LOVED this game. These are the types of games that I (personally) believe were made for V.R. before they even knew they were creating the perfect genre for VR. I would LOVE to be able to walk around a scene (potentially room scale) and pick things up/combine objects/etc. To be IN a Monkey Island Game, Maniac Mansion, or this one. Also any number of the Sierra adventure games (King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry 🫢, etc.) would be perfect for VR. Heck, even if the games weren't room scale, but looked/played the same BUT the headset made it look like you were seeing the game world as a real 3D world but from the same view as the originals... Any of these options would be *amazing*. VR is being underutilized and could provide an incomparable experience for exactly these types of games. They are the types of things that gamers/people of almost any age can jump into and enjoy with few exceptions (nearly no issues with relfexes/learning controls/etc.). They are games that are thought about when not playing because of a desire to go back to that world. Glad someone is talking about Fate of Atlantis.
What if Microsoft did a remake of Fate of Atlantis on Series X/S consoles? And could that be the Indiana Jones exclusive for Xbox?
