I can't argue which series is better yet, just purchased FF VII. I purchased the Metal Gear Solid Collection to catch up on MG b4 MGS4. I'm amazed how well MGS holds up to this day.

I have similar expectations for FF VII. Its great that late comers to the franchise only have to shell out $10. Too good to pass up.

I bought the MGS essential collection myself & after having played MGS I was amazed at how well it stood even after all these years. A kick*ss game imo. FF7 is also great, some PS titles are still fun to play even after so many years. We need more Sony. Bring it on!

Same as you, MGS is amazing. Bought the collection to prepare for MGS4 and was blown away by how good MGS was. It had been awhile since I have been so sucked into a story to find myself up in the middle of the night playing the game.

I have tried playing FF7 recently, but unlike MGS the graphics of FF7 annoy me. I just can't seem to get over the dated graphics even though never once thought about that when playing MGS. Might try playing on my psp. I don't worry about those things so much when it is portable.

I hate the way all the big companies trickle these games out. One, maybe two a week? Why? Give us 5 or 6 each week, of varying genres, until the entire back catalogue is up! Then start doing special offers each week, nice discounts on certain titles to keep sales up and get newer users interested.

I wouldn't buy this game. No point in supporting S-E when all they do is make mediocre games like all of the trash from last gen & this gen (which includes their future flops).

You're better off just downloading it for free (and then putting it on your PSP if you have CFW).

I already got it for PC a long time ago with the mods to give the game better graphics and I replaced the midi sounds with the mp3s. Also, if you have a friend who will let you use his account then you can just download it for free off of him if he bought it.

Actually Final Fantasy VII can be played on the PS3, PSone, PSP, and PC. There is not even a need to emulate it on the PC because it was released on the PC. In this particular case deafphat I am afraid your statement does not hold water.

The selection of PSOne classics is starting to become amazing. Now that Square Enix finally decided to support the US PSN, I hope they release Xenogears soon since I never got a chance to play it and hear lots of wonderful things about it =)

Personally I think Xenogears is way better than FF7, The story is so deep and twisted, not to mention the mech are so cool. Xenogears is simply the best RPG I've ever experienced without a doubt.

Shame that Xenosaga series aren't.

I never really agreed on the whole FFVII remake chatter that has been going around before, but after playing through my PSN copy, I must say it would be very nice if they did they did actually it. The story is so amazing, but how it is told could be done so much better if the characters were redone with today's technology. You just cannot feel what they are feeling by simple head nods and body shakes. Seeing actual expressions on realistically rendered faces would be one experience that would hard to beat.

Is release PANZER DRAGOON SAGA on the PSN. Goes for at least $200 on ebay... way too expensive and other games that sell beyond the $100 mark.
Also if this game sells alot I do not know how they can't come out with a remake or sequel.
One more thing if Wada keeps driving SE in the same direction it has been going then a firing will have to be in order.

I'm not entirely certain that's possible since it was Sega Saturn game, but I would like to see it. I borrowed my friend's Saturn back in the day just to play it, and it's still one of my all time favorite rpgs.

I loved playing FF7 but i don't think a remake would be the ultra success everyone thinks it would be. I mean the majority of PS3 fans that play RPG's most likely finished FF7 or at least knows what happens story wise. Would it look amazing? Yeah, i think so but how much of an impact would (SPOILER COMING )........seeing Seph kill Aerith make when you already know its coming.
