Harold Ramis talks fatherhood, games, his new Ghostbusters game and the possibility of a third movie.
Best known to kids of all ages as Dr. Egon Spengler from the Ghostbusters movies and various animated TV shows, Harold Ramis is donning the proton pack and carrying around the PKE meter in virtual form. While a third Ghostbusters movie script is in development, gamers of all ages will be getting new Ghostbusters offerings on June 16 with Atari's Ghostbusters the video game. The new story picks up in 1992 not long after the events of the second film. Ramis worked with Dan Akroyd, his partner in writing the original film, in fine-tuning the game's original story and dialogue. He also made sure that all of the Ghostbusters, including Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, returned for this virtual third encounter.
The Hollywood writer/director/producer lives in Chicago with his wife and two teenage sons. When he's not working on new movies like the Jack Black summer comedy, Year One, he's watching the advances of video game technology from afar. Ramis talks about gaming with his kids, the new Ghostbusters game and why the third film may finally be coming together in this exclusive interview.
