Did everybody download the free 30MB app last night from the PlayStation Store? If you did, you'll already know that VidZone is something quite special.
You can browse loads of music videos and build your own playlist. But get your mates in and pass the pad around for some eclectic choices. Not bad for free. Your PlayStation 3 just got better.
Your journey to music video Nirvana can be very rewarding but potentially just a little bit lonely. We here at VidZone think that this journey would be better shared with friends and fellow music lovers. What if you could break out and explore other people’s MyZone to discover someone else’s perfect playlist, follow a fellow Rock Lover or RnB Fan or even follow your favourite artists. Well guess what? Now you can, and a whole lot more.
It’s been a little time since we have updated the application, and what better time for a spring clean than… well spring! We have been once again listening to you and subsequently tweaked, sped up, prettied and smoothed over the whole application to make you experience an even better one! We hope you like what we have done! The patch is available now so see below for to see exactly what to look out for.
PushSquare: "T'is almost the season to be jolly -- and Sony's online music video streaming service, VidZone, is preparing for the holidays in style. Knowing that its best chance of getting attention is running in the background during those holiday get togethers, Sony's announced a full reboot for the service, including a snappier interface and a bunch of new features."

*Sniffles* No...
Anyway, I'm hoping that music wise we will be able to browse music videos across all regions. I personally want to see some of the music videos from overseas in Japan mainly rock groups, and then some Trance and progressive ones from overseas as well.
It says it will be rolling out in all territories over the next 12 months, here's hoping the U.S. won't be getting it on the 12th month.
It's another good little app that just adds to the entertainment abilities of the PS3.
I was using it last night, clocking a good mix of new tunes and some old 80's and 90's classic sh!t that I haven't heard in years.
If Sony arn't careful I will end up having my PS3 running 24/7 with all the different uses for it.
Of course though it would be nice to get the few things everyone is gagging for (private in-game chat, cross game chat and invites, party system) before getting more of these useful and cool but non-essential apps.
Still the PS3 is getting better all the time and its about time people stopped knocking it and saying sh!t like its failing.... cos its quite obviously not.... its pretty much just getting warmed up!
Yep gotta agree it is a great feature and all the latest vids seem to be there. You can build up your own playlists and watch them anytime for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Does this work with the PSP remote play not tried that yet ?
Why is there no Lupe Fiasco?
203 countries in the world. vidzone works in what? Seven? I want it too! ;)
