Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters not region locked

As Destructoid writes, they confirmed with Atari that the North American version of Ghostbusters for the Xbox 360, set to hit stores on June 16, will not be region locked.

Smart move. I'm surprised more games haven't done this. Now the real question is whether Square Enix will wise up and put English or other language subs (if not tracks) into the Japanese release of FFXIII.

Hmm, yeah, more publishers should have region free games. From what I've seen and heard, Europes gets screwed quite often, just look at Tales of Vesperya.

As for FF13, it's doubtful. My guess is that they're trying to get the game out as soon as possible. Also, if they were to do that, it would probably make quite a few Xbox360 owners jealous...as the 360 ain't getting FF13 in Japan (atleast, they're not supposed to as of now).

Its a big thing to people who are around my age (27).
Ghostbusters comes from the golden era, when kids still had good stuff to watch on tv.

Unlike that pokemon crap, beetle hunter, dynoshambles stuff they have these days.

Jeez I dont see whats the big deal about ghostbusters, I watched it when I was a kid and thought it was pretty crap. Then again I was more into Indiana Jones and James Bond...

Meh, just depends on what kind of films you like i guess. I'm an all-round kind of guy - i like just about any type of film there is (apart from romance and stuff...Obviously!)

No joke, right? Ghostbusters was my favorite movie for like 10 years (I'm 30). This game could totally suck nard and I would still pick it up on Day 1. I've wanted to bust ghosts for a long, long time now. No more wearing a stuffed backpack and making my own sound effects after next Tuesday! :)

about damn time! I don't see why they STILL do crap like this, in a global market, the melding of regions would be beneficial to manufacturing, as cheap local distributors could make just one copy of something, easing shipping and costs
