From the RE5 debacle with Co-op??

With some games Co-op is not a good idea, it forced the devs to turn one of the best survival-horror games into a pretty good third person action/shooter.

Give me some updated old school RE. and bring back the Hunters! not the Lickers!

The only thing really bad with RE5 was that it was not scary at all.

That said, since PSP only have one analog, I hope they go back to PS1 gameplay, instead of forcing us to play in the japanese control scheme of RE4/5.

Yeah, I hope it ends up like what RE4 was before they made it more action-oriented. I think a game like that would fit really well on the PSP.

I agree. I like RE5 but it is not scary at all. In my opinion the series hasn't been scary ever since Resident Evil 2.

they have literally given 0 details on the game other than it will be "different." Which is a blessing in my book considering RE: 5 was not that great, at all. Co-op was cool...for about a week...then a trade-in it became.

I always said I wanted more survival horror for my psp, and it looks like Im getting my wish. Silent Hill and Obscure are coming out in a couple of months and RE sometime in the future. Im going to quote Ren and Stimpy and simply say, "Happy happy joy joy!"

I wouldn't be surprised if it's full 3D movement. I've wanted a Resident Evil on PSP for so long now, but if it's just another survival action shooter like 4 and 5, then I can do without it.

I hope this game turns out great, I still have a sour taste in my mouth from RE5, imo I was very dissapointed in it

It fell even more between two stools than RE4 did, imo, die to the deliberate wrecking of the SP campaign just to accommodate co-op(which is only ever fun once and never scary). Plus, if they wanted a rip off Vs mode they had to change the conrtols as what they now have is the WORST mp experience I ever had the misfortune to play.

Inthe past Capcom have ALAYS been among my fave dev/pubs but this gen I've been really let down by most games they released-they just aren't as good as last gen let alone PSX era.DMC4<DMC3, RE4>RE5 and so on, even LP was cack after it had loads of potential. Oh well, lets just hope they continue pleasing everyone else and also make something that pleases me(I'm selfish like that). I won't have it that the new games are as good as the onld ones though as it just isn't true.

Has anyone come out and stated that the upcoming range of new PSP titles, not the PSOne classics, are going to be compatible with the PSP-1000?

PSP-1000 32MB RAM. PSP-2000/3000/GO 64MB RAM.

From what I remember back in my PSPFanboy writing days, the only difference it'll truly make is the amount of time the PSP will spend reading off the UMD instead of using the 2000/3000 cache system and faster processor.

Basically, they'll work, but you'll have load times. I'd suggest investing in a big pro-duo memory stick for downloading games... or upgrade! If you're cool with load times, though, you're set.

Whatever Capcom does, I really hope they make the game scary! RE5 would have been beast if I actually felt the fear that I was suppose to never forget. You were just way to over powered to early in the game, the same could be said with RE4 and they somehow managed to get me nervous almost every time I turned a corner. Lets see what Capcom is coming up with.
