MyWii Writes:
Where is Pikmin 3? That is the question the New Play Control version of Pikmin 2 has left on my mind. So far we've seen Mario Power Tennis, Pikmin and its sequel in the New Play Control series, a range of remade GameCube games, in Pal regions. While it seems odd that Nintendo would elect to release two games in the same series, when they've only release three games in total, it was definitely the right call to make. If there's one series on the GameCube that was going to greatly benefit from the Wii controls, it was Pikmin. The question is, has Pikmin 2 stood the test of time and is it worth revisiting the gardening-inspired adventure once more?
Zavvi.com: "Judging by its increasingly slim release schedule – and the fact that Nintendo are hopefully set to launch the Wii U at the end of this year – it’s fair to say that Nintendo’s Wii console is approaching the end of its natural life..."
No offense, but bad list. Technically, Twilight Princess, and Pikmin 2 are Gamecube games.
10. Bit.Trip.Runner
9. Muramasa The Demon Blade
8. Metroid Other M
7. Donkey Kong Country Returns
6. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
5. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
4. Super Mario Galaxy
3. Xenoblade Chronicles
2. Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
I came up with that list in less than 60 seconds.
It may not be very hardcore friendly, that list... But it was voted for by a team consisting of many different age groups of men and women, so I think the results are quite interesting. I would like to have seen Sin & Punishment 2 at the top, but hey ho
No Super Smash Bros. Brawl or New Super Mario Bros. Wii? Not even Epic Yarn this list I cannot agree with, but I do agree on the number one choice.
Wii Sports is fun, but it was never revolutionary for those of us looking for 1:1 gaming. I was certainly let down the first time I played it. :/
IGN - "How Europe has caught up to, matched and surpassed North America. Is it time to start importing again?"
"The localization process used to make so much more sense to me. Japan got every Nintendo game first, which was understandable since that's the company's home country. Then America would get each game next, needing only a translation into English and a fresh manufacturing run to get going here. "
dailygamesnews.com - Nintendo Europe has confirmed the New Play Control: Pikmin 2 will release in Europe on April 24th next year. The remade version of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is set to release by August next year too.
It's a mistake. New Play Control: Pikmin 2 was released April 24 2009 ! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is also released in 2009.
