IGN: The Bigs 2 Wii Hands-On

For the most part, The Bigs 2 takes what the original did and ramps it up considerably. IGN personally finds it as the better of the 2K MLB titles, as there's far more action, the character models are more beefed up, and the commentary has serious life to it, and the sequel is like the original version on steroids. You'll see the return of the turbo meter, huge home run hits, flaming fast payoff pitches, and all new modes to boot. As a rule of thumb about the Wii version, it'll look like the PS2 build (sorry, it's true) but includes every mode as the other versions, so no more skimping on the goods.

OXM UK: The Bigs 2 Review

The only worthwhile addition to the game is "Become a Legend" where you take a slugger from obscurity to the Hall of Fame. This is great for a while, but after the 26th time your potential home run is caught by yet another 30ft diving catch you'll be left in controller-throwing frustration. It's then you realise The Bigs 2 is excellent against mates or for a blast online, but its arcade style means it's not best suited to longer game modes.
