Much anticipated Capcom title Dead Rising 2 will now not be shown at this year's E3 thanks to a Swine Flu outbreak in Osaka, Japan, Capcom told Kotaku.
The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
Some video game weapons are so outlandish they could never realistically be used, and that's why they're on our list of the 10 most impractical weapons in gaming.
What does the flu have to do with zombies? Seriously...
I mean come on, that's going a little too far. Maybe some one has watched too many movies or something.
I think this is a little ridiculous.
That's cool and all to have an imagination but when it becomes a problem to gamers, that we won't see a game because of it. It kind of pisses me off.
In real life I don't see the connection enough.
Yeah, this is BS! I've been saying all along this game is looking like a massacre of the original and both Blue Castle and Capcom are not confident so they are going to hide this thing and try to sell it on name alone..
The devs are in Canada! Funny, how every other Capcom title will be there.
This was one of the top games I wanted to see at E3. E3 just keeps looking more and more lame by the day.
I think this is a little ridiculous
This sounds like the decision of someone who's letting their imagination defeat them.
And now they're making it our problem.
Either that, or it's just a cover up to not show the game for a different reason.
So stupid. Its just like any other flu. The only people that have dies were either young children or old people. The ones always susceptible to viruses and such. The media just LOVES throwing things out of proportion.
May be Capcom know something we don't about the flu....
Ready your shotguns folks, we're going to need 'em.
