Console Monster writes: "It feels like it's been years since I played a decent Mech game, infact, it has being years. Fans of the Arcade may be familiar with Virtual On. You probably encountered this beast of a machine in a smoke filled arcade at a tacky seaside resort or perhaps you were lucky enough to play it in your home town.
Who can't forget the twin-sticks on the machine that enabled you to battle it out ferociously with a friend, before you clocked them round the head with that stick of rock you picked up beforehand?"
While we got Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On and Virtua Striker are Japan only. The Virtual-On team says Sega has no plans to release the two upcoming arcade games outside of Japan.
Get ready for a robot rumble and then arcade soccer. Two more games from Sega’s Model 2 collection are coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 13.

For a student constantly on the lookout for cheap games to play and not really wanting to buy full-priced new releases, second-hand shops and Xbox Live Arcade seemed the perfect solution. Some purchases were really not worth playing, but there were some real gems that turned up from time to time – some of which were clearly at their best when played multiplayer, but had nobody online because perhaps they had not been critical successes, or had been out so long everyone had lost interest. So it’s time to fight the fight for these obscure games – and if people can get them and play them, it can only be a good thing!
