Master Samo writes: "As we continue our journey through the chapters of this article, we arrive at yet another reason for Microsoft's domination in 2009. That reason is the MMO genre. When compared to all the other genres, due to the never ending experience it delivers, the MMO provides the highest replay value possible. Furthermore, it is well known that MMO developers have been dreaming, for years, of the day in which they can finally see their creations unfold on consoles. Despite the fact that this dream has been partially realized, Microsoft has decided to play a major role in making that dream a reality on a massive scale."
New raids, class updates, festivals and more are on the calendar.
Now this makes me feel old! I remember playing the beta while I worked at Gamestop. I honestly didn't even know this game was still online! A quick search showed that it's even F2P now, so I may check it out for nostalgia's sake.
I only subbed at launch for 1-2 months bc I was already caught up in WoW at the time. I love the LotR universe though and would like to see how it's being handled these days.
Cryptic Studios appears to be the latest Embracer-owned company to be impacted by layoffs.
Before the Shadow is the latest expansion to the still-thriving MMORPG, Lord of the Rings Online, introducing new regions and mechanics.

To all the readers, I thank you in advance for reading this article. I would like to present to you some of the Bits Of Information (BOI) that I was not able to include in this article. They are as follow:
BOI 1 ) Konami: the name "Konami" is a conjunction of the names Kagemasa Kouzuki (current chairman of the board and CEO), Yoshinobu Nakama, Tatuso Miyasako. Konami also means "small wave(s)" in the Japanese language.
BOI 2 ) Konami: is currently headquartered in Tokyo and additionally operates health and physical fitness clubs in Japan. It also operates United States activities in El Segundo, California for video games, and Paradise, Nevada for the gambling industry.
BOI 3 ) Sega: was founded in 1940 as Standard Games (later Service Games) in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States by Martin Bromely, Irving Bromberg, and James Humpert to provide coin-operated amusements for American servicemen on military bases. Bromely suggested that the company move to Tokyo, Japan in 1951 and in May 1952 "SErvice GAmes of Japan" was registered.
