OXCGN: Ten 360 Games You Haven't Played – Part 1

OXCGN: "To start: shame on you! The mere fact I'm sitting down to write a list like this is because of all the those poor, down-trodden games sitting in bargain bins because YOU didn't buy them.

Right, now that a significant number of you reading this hate me, onto the main topic at hand: why you should be shelling out for them right now. Get your shoes on while you read, as you'll be walking down to the local games store once you finish this, or, even easier, just open a new tab on your internet browser and get eBay loading while you read."

:( I haven't played Overlord...

REALgamer5463d ago

It's really cheap, usually below $20 now.

Awesome game, can't wait for Overlord II, think it's dated for July?

gaminoz5463d ago

My son loved the demo...I forgot to try it. Definitely one of those that I watched for awhile then lost track of once released.

Sorla135463d ago

but, then again, i did power through dead space, im gonna go get condemned now

gaminoz5463d ago

Condemned (1) was way too under-rated. It really is very very good imo. Certainly among the best the 360's first year had to offer. It scared me more than any game before or until Dead Space. I don't normally like too much of that, but this was too much fun to put down,
except when I got stuck in a glitch!

Godem5463d ago

I hated Infinite Undiscovery.

REALgamer5463d ago

I hated it at first but as the article says once you get a few hours in it's like it suddenly changes and gets awesome! Pretty much when the world is opened up to roam around.

REALgamer5463d ago

I guess that proves it then, haha. You either love it or hate it!

Though if you play for under 3 hours you'll hate it.

SpoonyRedMage5463d ago

I really like Infinite Undiscovery too but if/when they do a sequel(MS should try to make this a series) they need to doa much better start to the story. It takes way too long.

good ole banjo/kazooie, i remember playing the original back in the day.... i think.
still, im gonna have a spy for this one next time im in EB

Superfragilistic5463d ago

Nuts n Bolts rocks!

Seriously amazing experience. I still play it even after SFIV, Killzone 2 and Res Evil 5 came out. Mind you I still play a lot of those too...

GiantEnemyCrab5463d ago

Not a bad list. I enjoyed the hell out of Overlord and the first Condemned and recommend them. Eternal wasn't bad either.

Tri-Ace still uses their old game engine from 2008

The gaming community lately makes jokes about companies making games that look like "PS3" or "PS2" games. While this is such a nasty dig, there may be some truth to this in the case of tri-Ace.

Sad really. I used to love these guys but man...they just aren't what they used to be.

phallusitator335d ago

According to the this they are exactly what they used to be…

Noskypeno336d ago

The Cod games have been using an engine built in the mid 90s. Nothing wrong with using an old engine if they update it. Bioshock used UE2 and looked better than most UE3 games. Arkham knight used UE3 and looked better than most UE4 games.

Chriswynnetbh336d ago

I would give my left nut for an infinite undiscovery pc port

shinoff2183336d ago

Sh it does suck but I enjoyed star ocean 6 the most out of any game last year. I thought it was solid af start to finish. My favorite game that year.

I'd love for Sony to get ahold of them.

shinoff2183335d ago

To late to edit but I just wanted to add not every game that comes out needs to push a consoles boundaries. Star ocean 6 looked fairly good to me.

shammgod335d ago

Yeah. They definitely squeezed every drop out of that engine for SO6. It was a fun game

nitus10335d ago (Edited 335d ago )

I assume you are talking about "Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness" which I do have and am still playing. IMHO it is a good game but for some reason I still prefer "Star Ocean: The Last Hope" that I played on my PS3.

As a side note I have "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time" (PS2 version) which I played on my first gen PS3 but unfortunatly the Australian version of the PS3 did not have full backwards capability like the US version did. I got so far in the game and hit a bug (advancement to a new area between two mountains) that prevented further play.

Condemned: Criminal Origins - FPS, But Not as We Know It

SEGA's Condemned: Criminal Origins arrived as an innovative yet flawed Xbox 360 launch title, but is worth revisiting on modern consoles.

Snookies12383d ago

Would actually love to see a remake/reboot of Condemned. So very underappreciated... I was a bit of an Xbox hateboy back during the time this came out. But I did own a 360 for a short time back then. Thankfully this is one of the games I got to check out. Thanks to it being super cheap at a GameStop. At least it got a sequel, but it deserved to be a whole franchise honestly.

XiNatsuDragnel383d ago

That'll be awesome to see this remade again

Barneyco382d ago

Loved the first one. The second one wasn't very good.

MadLad382d ago

I didn't think the second was bad. It just didn't feel like the original, and went really off the rails with the sorting.
It was like playing Condemned while you're really sick, and Condemned was the fever dream that came after you went to sleep.

hiawa23382d ago

I am still playing Condemned 1 & 2. Both games deserve a remake or remaster. I am still baffled why 2 is not on the back compat list.

Condemned: Criminal Origins - Revisiting A Forgotten Horror Classic

FreeckyCake writes: " Condemned: Criminal Origins is one of those unrivaled titles that will forever remain in my memory no matter how old it gets. We can only hope that we will at least get a port to the Condemned 2: Bloodshot game on PC and current-gen consoles, or why not a sequel someday soon? One can only dream."

Condemned was amazing! Had a really cool multi-player as well, such a shame it we never got another one after 2. Brings back some great memories on the 360. Condemned was definitely one of the first games I picked up for the 360. Loved the atmosphere and the amount of melee items you could utilize. Would really love if Microsoft could somehow reboot this franchise!

Skate-AK1104d ago

I never got to play the MP for 2 but my brother always mentions about how good it was.

Iltapalanyymi1104d ago

one of the best horror games ever in my book

MadLad1104d ago

It's a shame we never got a third game. The original was better than the second, in my opinion, but that's far from saying the second was bad.

Jolska4201104d ago

Ive never been more scared of a game than the doctor who esque weeping angels mannequins in the sequel

Limitedtimestruggle1104d ago

Loved this on the Xbox 360, simply an amazing game!

Yui_Suzumiya1104d ago

Still waiting on a damn sequel because of the cliffhanger ending of 2.
